The following events are planned for the rest of the year and subscribing members will be

June 15th: 32nd
Corbishley Lecture: Francis Campbell, UK Ambassador to the
Holy See will speak on the EU approach to foreign affairs and his
position as a religious ambassador in a secular democratic EU/world.
At 6.30 pm. Venue to be announced

July: "Britain
and the EU after the 2010 Election - prospects 60 years on from
the Schuman Declaration"

September 15th: Joint one-day seminar
with the Polish Embassy, London and the Polish Institute for
International Affairs, Warsaw. "Does religion play any role in
contemporary European diplomacy?"

October 6th: Annual
Charlemagne Lecture: Philip Lowe (European Commission) will speak
on Energy Policy in a Changing Climate

A first lecture was given by Maleiha Malik of King's College, London
on 24th February, on "Human Rights and Religion in Contemporary

- Mark Dowd of Operation
Noah lectured to the Trust on 3rd March 2009 on "Beyond
Changing Light bulbs: engaging with the threat of climate
change", with a response from Peter Luff. Click

discussion meeting held jointly with the Institute for Public
Policy Research on 15th September 2009 on the "Role of
Faith in our Public Life" has resulted in a report which

- Bishop Christopher
Herbert gave a lecture on 5th February in Westminster Abbey on
"Inter-faith Relations and Europe: an English
Perspective" upon his retirement from being a patron of the
Trust and Bishop of St Albans. Click

Meetings
- A discussion entitled

Keith Clements, Sir Peter Marshall and Professor Maurice Fraser
was held at the EU Representation in London on 15 February 2007
- A discussion led by Sir
Stephen Wall on "Britain and Europe - an Ambivalent
Relationship?" was held on 20 May, 2008.
